Hey guys starter went out on the boat at least thought it did, so pulled the old one out got it tested and it was bad. Bought a new starter installed it. Tried to fire the boat up and all im getting is a clicking noise from the selinoid on top of the engine. tried several times made sure the drive was in nuteral and still just clicks. Any suggestion? Thanks its a 1987 4.3 V6

I was having the same issue with hearing the click. In my case the engine eventually turned over...Does this make sense if it is a bad or failing slave solenoid?
