I have 1997 boat that came with a Evinrude 40 hp with tilt/trim. Motor was stollen but left all controls. Was wondering if anyone knows what years these controls will interchange with.
If Your controls have multiple modular plugs then they are for a 1996 or newer engine. If the controls have the big red plug then they are made for an engine manufactured from approximately 1975 to 1995.
Thanks. Mine has multiple plugs. Would you know if its 1996 to present or what years in particular. I'm in search of a replacement and trying to narrow the search.
