470 mercruiser coolant need fast advise

I just bought a 20' open bow with this engine in it and I see it has a radiator cap in it does this engine have the closed coolant system and does it require antifreeze and its own water? This is my first boat so I am a little confused on what this engine needs different compared to other boats.

yes it requires antifreeze 50/50 mix of good quality automotive antifreeze and water (make sure antifreeze is compatible to aluminum parts)<br />it also has a drive mounted water pump used to cool the heat exchanger
