Yamaha 2001 100hp 4 stroke voltage too high?

Installed new rectifier and boat runs great. Just concerned because voltmeter now says 15 volts at cruising speed. Wondering if this is too high and will damage anything? VM reads 13 at idle and goes below 12 when cranking.

Check voltage with good hand held volt meter to make sure it agrees.
13.5 to 14.5 volts is normal
