I know old Eskas are not popular on this forum, but for the moment, restoring this old 7 HP Eska is the challenge I have set myself and I need some help. First, can anyone identify year of manufacture from the Mod/SerNo (217-58531 and 103670). Next, because I am used to working with points, could someone identify the parts in the attached photo? The magneto is pretty obvious, but the curved black object with two metal protrusions down on the left edge is a mystery, as is the small white box-like object between the curved black object and the clip that goes to the spark plug. Since I don't have spark, I will test the magneto, but if that seems OK I am at a complete loss as to how I might test the other objects in the chain. Any suggestions or pointers to pertinent websites would be much appreciated.
