Hello,
First time repairing fiberglass and general boat newbie here and I had a question or two. I am repairing a gouge that happened after an incident getting the boat on the trailer during a windy day. This is a 14 ft trihull and the gouge in in the front-right underneath. I have attached pictures before and after grinding the damage down with a Dremel. After grinding the excess away, I noticed that the foam behind the fiberglass was damaged a bit and is missing some. Should I fill this foam back in with something before I begin repairing the fiberglass and if so, how much? What material should I use to fill it in? Any other general advice before I start to repair the fiberglass?
