Trailer Restoration Question

I'm looking for advice on how to remove the multi-colored stickers and labels from the frame of my 1987 EZ-loader trailer. I took it to a shop to have it sand blasted and they said it could be done but the cost would be exorbitant because of the time and materials required.

Is there some sort of chemical treatment I can use? The shop owner said he tried using a razor blade but that was also impractical.

Thanks!

Bob

Re: Trailer Restoration Question

3m makes a decal & adhesive remover, I've used it to remove decals from my van. No harm to the paint. But if your restoring the trailer then go with Bondo-o's idea. Make sure you don't burn any wiring inside the box tube.

The decal erasers work great.

Re: Trailer Restoration Question

Heat up with a propane torch or even a hair dryer and use a razor blade. They should peel off like butter.
