Blue fuel line?

I know for the ethanol fuel that you should use the grey line with the blue lettering but my Merc guy's distributor is supplying solid blue hose? He says you can't use zip ties on it and have to use a clamp to get it to seal.
Do any of you know anything about this blue hose? Thanks in advance

I guess none of us know anything about it. It may be reinforced, like automotive fuel line, and that may be why he said that you need to clamp it. Nylon tiewraps are for non reinforced line which isn't stiff.

I bet that's correct. Still on the fence about it or the grey with blue lettering merc line-I have some time to ponder still.
