Having a problem with my 9.9 I cranked it up this morning, ran 1/4 mile at about 3/4 throttle and then dropped it back to idle to move around some wood. It completely cut off. This thing never cuts off once it starts running. The only way I could get it started again was to choke it all the way and throttle up to almost 100% at idle. Once I pushed choke in and let off throttle it cuts back off. No problems ever before this, it just came out of the blue. Motor is run 1-2 times a week. I checked the bulb, it is pushing gas thru the fuel line and into the filter. It is keeping pressure, once I pump it up its like a rock. I took off the filter and no sign of water in the fuel. I took off the black box in front of the carb and the butterfly was dirty and I cleaned that. I shot some carb cleaner into the fuel line and into the carb itself. Still cannot get it to run unless I throttle wide open and choke it. Am I looking at some bad gas or something internal in the carb. The only other thing it could be is the fuel line but Im getting fuel, and cut about a foot off of it and there is no break down inside from the ethanol. HELP, I have a tournament in a week and need to get back up to speed. :(

My thoughts are the carbs need to be pulled and cleaned properly
