I have a Volvo Penta AQ200D engine with a Rochester 2GE Carb (17059059). The carb is missing a fuel baffle, Rochester Part number 38242, and I have no idea where to find the part. Hours and hours online looking at carb parts has been a complete waste of time. One online carb parts supplier told me the part was too old for his inventory, another told me that the part was too new for his. Rather frustrating haha. So I am seeking help from the members of the forum.
If anyone out there has this part on a old carb and would like to sell it, or if you know of a supplier who stocks old Rochester parts, please do let me know.
FYI the part is described in a parts diagram as a Baffle - Fuel. It is a three sided stainless steel part that surrounds the float needle assembly and serves to reduce fuel movement within the fuel bowl while the boat is rocking around on the water. I can email you a photo of the part, and can provide photos from the original service manual if needed.
