how dose the warning system work heres what i have. 2001 225 ox66 the buzzer wasn't working so i replaced it with a new one. isn't it supposed to beep when you turn the key to the on position before you start the engine? mine beeps when you turn the engine off what i'm trying to say is you turn the key one click gauges turn on but no beep you start the motor everything works perfect then you turn the key off motor stops and the warning buzzer goes one beep my gauges are the dinogstic (can't spell) type meaning they show codes if somethings wrong The motor runs great no issues there just not sure about the warning buzzer

Re: ox66 warning buzzer

some motors have a low battery voltage alarm,
so maybe when you turn off key it is removing voltage from the place that sets off alarm as it is dieing
Just a though not a fact

I believe you can turn key on with kill lanyard removed should set off alarm.

Might try setting of the temp and oil alarms just to make sure they function properly and indicators show
