Hello guys, My poor 1989 Carver is having hiccups!! I pull out of the marina and I get about 200 yards out and the engine dies. It will start back up after 15 minutes or so and MAYBE go 30-40 yards and keeps going like that until it completely cools down(4 hours). It has seemed to get worse as the weekend went on. I checked fuel lines/hoses for cobwebs thinking the tank was breathing enough air into it. Changed oil/filter/spark plugs/cap/wires, still the same scenario. I never did check the coil when warm and it's a pain the dump in the river to get it warmed up to check since their is heavy traffic at the landing. I NOW have a feeling it is the coil from reading other posts. Problem is I don't know what coil to buy or if an automotive coil will work the same as a marine one. Would anyone have info on numbers for the coil? And maybe other thoughts on this? (aq205 4.3) Hopefully it's just the coil now. Thanks, Dave
