I have a 1985 Merc 50HP 4 cyl 2 stroke serial # 6590251. It needs a few parts... (stator, trigger) I found a guy with a 1982 Mariner 50HP for sale. As far as I can tell from **********, the part numbers are the same, but I just wanted to check with the seasoned guys to see if I was wrong. he is selling the whole motor for less than the 2 parts cost that I need and I would have alot of spare parts laying around if I ever needed them. so my question is are all/most of the parts interchangable??? thanks in advance!!
