I am starting to put my motor back together, 1962 Evinrude 40 H.P. Lark 4 Model #35933. Quick question (which I THINK I know the answer to). I did not remove the forward bearing race when I tor into it, so the first thing going back into the gear box is the forward roller bearing. Do I need to grease it heavily like I would a wheel bearing on a car, or no grease at all since it is saturated with lower unit oil when in service? I would think I do not need the grease, but i want to be sure. Thanks for your replies.
