Hey Peeps,
I found out I have BAD GAS in my Bayliner Fuel Tank. I can pump it
out with no problem.

After pumping it out, what can I do,,,,,WITHOUT cutting my deck and pulling the tank,,,,,,to make sure
the tank is clean.

Are there any products to use to help clean this 32 gal tank before refueling?

Thanks, Tim:D

Check Iboats, West Marine for fuel cleaning products inside deck tanks.

Happy Boating

Whichever solvent, detergent, chemical you use to clean your tank, be sure to install a fuel/water separater type canister filter on your transom, to catch any water/debris/whatever may be left in there and break loose afterwards. It can save you a lot of time, trouble and $$$ with your fuel system! Good Luck!

That's great, a Racor filter with the clear plastic bowl and the drainable pet-**** would come in real handy for this. You could check and drain it every day or as often as required until all water or debris is gone.

i like roberts idea, clear bowl. also keep an extra filter on board at all time. i drove a chevy van with a rusty tank for 5 years like that and a spare filter. i routed the filter so i could get at it in minutes
