1983 Mariner 80 4 cyl. Tilt and Trim Question. (First time user)

Hello everyone. My first post on here, but certainly not going to be my last.

I have a 1983 4cyl 80hp Mariner. The tilt and trim has been moving slower and slower all season, and this AM when I tried to raise the motor up, the trim motor just ran, and the motor did not move. I was able to lower it all the way down. If I grab the lower unit, I can pick it up by hand and lock the transom saver, holding the motor in the up position.

I think that I need to flush the lines, and refill everything, but I do not have a service manual. Before I start removing (what I think are the correct screws) I thought I would check the forum to see if there is something more obvious.

Also, can someone send me a link to a schematic or a diagram showing exactly what bolts to remove and where/how to best flush the system? An online service manual would be great too.

I have attached a couple of pictures of potential areas to remove screws in an effort to flush the system. Just for reference really.

Serial number on the motor is: 5001878.

I appreciate any help you can provide.

Ayuh,.... I'm guessin' it's outa oil,... The fill, 'n vent screws are seen in yer 2nd picture, lower right corner, under the solenoid...

Worked great. I flushed it all through until it spilled out of the vent. Works fine.

Thanks Will. I have looked all over for that manual. Everywhere tries to get me to pay some ridiculous amount for a pdf version. I assume you have the same motor as well? 80 hp 4cyl? If so, do you have the manual link for the outboard as well?

No kc sorry I have a 1966 650 mercury. I believe I got that link for my tilt trim off of searching forums I also got an excellent pdf of my control box off searching let me know if you would like one, it has about all merc controls in there.
