i have a 1991 mercruiser 2 stroke 4 cylinder i/o.it is an l drive 2100ldr. the problem i am having is the motor was firing up fine in my driveway after the winter and i took it out the first time this year and it wouldnt start. it seemed as though their wasnt enough power but i was turning 12-14 volts with 2 new batteries. the next step i took was to buy a new starter. it is still doing the same thing turning over very slowly. i tried starting it with the plugs out and the motor turned over quite a bit faster, but not as fast as i rememeber it when it last ran. i put the plugs back in and it is still doing the same thing. any ideas? whats next?
