Re: 89 force 125 power head removel

First get a camera!!!
Take pics of EVERYTHING!!!
Then get lot of small bowls and a marker.

Remove the flywheel while it's still on the motor.
Will be easier.
Then start with the drive and then the lower housing.

Electronics.
Cables.

Carbs,then mounting bolts.

The shift linkage has a 1/2"nut holding it in place.
It's a special nut that will be stiff all the way off.
Easier to remove when the carbs etc is off.

I;m sure there will be other answers to add to this.

Just remember to put different bolts and nut in different containers and mark them.

For the flywheel you will need a gear puller or a flywheel puller. No special tools for the stator. If this is your first, buy some small zip plastic bags and a permanent marker. bag all bolts and screws separately while labeling each bag. This will make assembly a lot smoother. Some bolts and screws will be rusted, replace them if you can or wire brush 'em and soak in oil until assembly. A manual with disassembly instruction will also be very helpful or at least exploded view.
