I just bought this engine on a Critchfield center console. Engine was started on the muffs this year and I have had it out twice. Put in 6 gals of fresh fuel with tc3w oil at 50/1 maybe 1 gallon of old fuel in tank that was dosed with red Stabil. starts and runs fine on the high speed jets. Idles rough and can kill shifting to gear. After first trip put 2 ounces of Startron in gas. Second trip ran maybe a gallon through it. Still rough idle. This engine should troll down. WOT on 17' is 25 MPH according to GPS. Boat shop wants to rebuild the carbs for $400 Ouch! Is there anything to try before I resort to that? Should I just run the engine until I use a little more of the fuel? For $400 I would like to rebuilt the carbs myself but am leery of the lynk and sync procedure. If this has posted twice I apologize, am new. Thanks for any advice in advance. Tom
