1991 OMC 5.0, has red shift cable. Shifted into Reverse and Forward prior to pulling engine. Shifts into Forward fine but now will not shift into Reverse. How do I remedy this problem?
did you re-assemble with the old shift cable? Did you use the proper procedure for setting the shift cable? What did you use to set the bellcrank and cable length? You can find the instructions here for adjusting the shift cable.
