Trim motor not working

I have a 1989 unit and the out drive will not lower or raise. I have checked for volatage and even ran a 12 volt jumper to the main pump wires and get no sound. Is there a internal float switch for the hyd fluid that may be bad? or is there any other way I should test the motor? I realize Green wire is down, Blue wire is up...but no sound connecting power to either?

Did you connect your 12V pos directly to the heavy gauge blue or green which go directly to the motor and not the smaller ones with the stripes? Don't forget you need to also connect a negative to the black also. If it didn't run with the neg connected to the motor black and the pos connected to either the blue or green motor wires than something is wrong in the motor as you are completely bypassing the solenoids.
