So....starter engages the flywheel, but won't spin engine?<br />Engine cylinder (s) full of water would be one culprit.<br />Locked up outdrive would do it too, among other things.<br />Have you attempted to turn engine over by hand?<br />I would guess not.<br />Pull spark plugs- look at each one....any of them rusty?...if so, cylinder is full of water.. ground coil wire, try to crank, if it does.... see if it blows water out of the cylinders....if it doesn't crank, pull drive and try to crank....if it does, drive is locked up....if it doesn't...engine is locked up.
