My 2006 optimax will not start. Typically the warning alarm sounds as soon as the key is turned to the on position, this is no longer happening. When the warning alarm does not sound the motor will crank over as usual but will not fire. I have replaced the e-stop switch, but this did not resolve the issue. I did notice that the e-stop is spliced into the wire harness. It seems that the ignition would be wired for the e-stop and would not require any splicing. I bought the boat used and feel the wiring is questionable. However sometimes it seems to work fine. Does anyone know what would cause the warning alarm not to sound and not let the engine fire? I checked all fuses and wire connections. Could it be a relay in the engine?
