I am a new boat owner this year and cannot seem to catch a break. My fuel pump was taken off and a few gaskets were bad. Is there a rebuild kit for that motor or do I have to buy a whole new assembly? By the way its model is 25e75

Thanks - Jake

Yes you can still get complete rebuild kits for the older motors. You can also get new fuel pumps for those motors, but go to the bank for a loan. New complete kits are usally less than $25 while new pumps are close to $100. Kits that include new springs are best as the smaller springs are easy to lose. I would steer clear of used pumps as they might be in the same condition as the one you have.

Re: 1975 Johnson 25 hp fuel pump rebuild

Hey how's it going?

I have the same year and hp engine (25r75b). I recently bought a rebuild kit for my pump and came to find out that I don't have the VALVE HOUSING part of the filter. I have everything except for this part. Is there somewhere. I can buy just this part?

Thanks.
