I am having an issue with the port aerator pump coming on without switch in the auto/manual position. When the batteries are turned off, only then will the pump will shut down. At this point the marina I keep it at has checked the switch itself - no problems, and traced the Tracker hardness a few inches. Has anyone else seen this problem? If so what was the rememdy.

sounds like water in the back of the switch if the problem comes and goes. if its a constant problem then any mechanic should have been able to find and fix the problem

My suggestion would be to pull one of the wires off the switch. If the pump quits you found the problem. If not, the circuit is being cross fed somewhere. This is a two minute check. Three minutes if the switch has screw terminals. You need a new service shop.
