I have a friend who is a plant manager for DelCo (local water company). He warned me that his contacts with the Army Corp of Engineers advised him that they will be draining a significant amount of water from Delaware and Alum Creek much sooner than normal. Some of the water is being pumped into Hoover Reservoir. He believed that they would begin lowering the lakes after the holiday.
I spoke with him on Wednesday afternoon and took the boat to Delaware about 2 hours later. The water level seemed to be about 3 feet below where it was a few days ago.
