First day out after storage (last week) boat ran great. All service had been done. Filter, timing, new plugs, etc.

Yesterday went out and had problems (keeping it running at start up) After finally starting, ran fine?? Is this a classic case of old Fuel? Any Advise? Thanks in Advance..JR

5.0 Volvo Penta

Fuel not the issue IMO. Sounds more choke/carb related. The butterfly may not be opening properly at start up causing a rich condition.

Pull the spark arrestor off next time starting cold and watch the butterfly. You should be able to open or close it manually to verify if it is a choke problem. If it is, you'll just have to look over the choke system to find out what's wrong.

Your gas is fine....Check the choke for proper operation like KG says....JK
