Re: bilge help

Welcome aboard: I'm gonna' guess (without knowing exactly what it looks like) you need to get down under the splash well where you can get your hand all the way back to the transom of the boat. The bilge pump typically sits as far back, and as close to the keel as possible (without blocking the drain hole. There's typically a (roughly) 8" x 8" area of the floor that goes down into the bilge back there.

Re: bilge help

I learned all sorts of cool stuff about what is under the sole of my boat by sticking a digital camera through my deck plates and snapping pictures in various orientations. Not sure how much room you have, I would start there. Make sure your bilge is well vented, there are no gas fumes, and your flash is on.

Can you see the bilge hose? Maybe you can pull on the hose to remove the pump from under the engine. That is if it is not mounted permanently.

Got a picture of the back of the boat? If it's enclosed there is typically an access panel.
