Fuel Line

So my primer ball wasn't getting hard after squeezing it. So I tried replacing the lines and ball as they were fairly old anyway. This didn't fix the problem. So I pulled the top of the tank off(6 gal quicksilver) and discovered the line that goes to the filter at the bottom of the tank was rotten and had fallen off. I have searched high and low for a new hose and can't find one. Can someone tell me where to get one or where to order one? I don't think putting regular plastic hose would make it past the first 5 min before falling apart. Thanks

Re: Fuel Line

I looked at that link and it looks like the part I need is no longer available on that site.

Re: Fuel Line

Is there some reason that you couldn't use a regular price of fuel line ?

Re: Fuel Line

You can get it at most auto parts stores and I would think most marine/snowmobile places, just make sure you ask for submersable fuel hose - normal fuel line won't work.

Re: Fuel Line

The boat places I have called have been no help. Napa had one option but it was $30 a foot. For that price I'll buy a new tank. Still trying. I can't imagine I'm the only one that's had a rotten line inside one of these tanks.

Re: Fuel Line

I had an OEM Quicksilver fuel line disintegrate putting brown crap all through my fuel system. Ripped it out and went to Lowes and bought some clear vinyl, or whatever it was tubing. Put it in and I can see my fuel and anything in it. Nada and it has been there over 9 months.
