Saltwater ???

Quick question. I have a 2009 Mercury 9.9 freshwater engine on a 2009 Avon Rover 310 Lite RIB.
I'm going to the ICW Saturday for some island hopping and exploring. I know I need to flush the motor and wash it off when I get it home, I guess I'm just wondering how bad the saltwater is on it if it's well washed and fresh water ran thru it for 20 minutes when I get home?

Outboards are used in salt water all the time. Just flush it out as you plan to and that will be fine.

Thanks, I thought so, but I see these "Salt water" motors on ocean type boats and I wonder what the difference is between that and mine?
