Need some help...Mercury outboard identification

I have a mercury outboard motor and I cant find the correct year in the chart ...I was told it was a 140hp but the numbers do not match any of the serial numbers...serial number is 1503186, thanks...Dave

Dave hey done some searching to see if I could help you< statring to learn a little bout this boat stuff Thanks to the guys on here. this is the only thing I could find - 1996 year - 125hp - 09885505 - with no ending s/n . Does the motor look to be 90's ? hope this helps.

Lol...No, not at all....it is a mid to late 60s motor for sure, I think.....but thanks anyways...Dave
