I have a 115 Mercury 1987 6 cyl. I have a rather heavy leak at the carbs. i noticed that the screws used to block off the sides of the carbs are leaking. they are not the original brass ones but steel. they easily turn in and out. Do I need to replace them or can I use an RTV on them to stop the leak. My bottom screw is also leaking on the top carb? This is my first boat so please ignore the rather dumb question.
