I bought an 87 blue fin w/ 2.3l ford with omc cobra
Initially the motor will start. But when I give it throttle it stalls. Sometimes it starts right up sometimes it doesn't.
When it does run you have to be attentive to not give it to much throttle all at once or it will stall.
If you feed the throttle on slow it will run fine for how ever long you want to run it. But if slow down for no wake zone and then go to throttle up again it will stall and it takes about 30 minutes to start.
This boat has apparently had this problem for some time because Records obtained from the servicing dealer show that first started working the problem in 2010. So far that dealer changed points, cap, rotor, coil, rebuilt the carb, checked the fuel water seperator filter
