Just bought a winner chameleon...opinions?

Found my Dixie ski boat was half rotten. While preparing to rebuild it, I found an 87 winner chameleon with no motor for 500$. I have a mercury 150 xr2 ready to put on it. Boat is very very clean, and solid as a rock. No oxidation, and carpet looks great. Says it has always been covered, and I believe it.

I don't fish much, so I want it primarily for tubing and wake boarding. Does anyone have any experience with this boats performance for boarding? I'm imagining it will fly, but have little wake. I'm sure I will be happy with it for a good while. Till I can get a true wake boat.

Does 500 sound like a good price? Gauges work, live well pumps, bilge pump all work. Seats are very useable, but worn. Not torn tho

Anybody used one for skiiing kneeboarding/etc? What sort of speed should I expect with a 150 and 19 degree prop? Hope to post some pictures when I get a new phone. Old one committed suicide :/.
