10% Ethanol

Should I have any concerns or notice any operating change on my 96 Volvo 3.0 now that gasoline contains ethanol?<br /><br />Thanks

This ethanol thing has come up a lot in other posts. Some heated discussions too. If you want to hear some opinions on the stuff, do a search.<br /><br />You shouldn't notice any difference in your boat.<br /><br />Minnesota has been 10% ethanol for 9 years, I have never had a fuel related problem in a car, boat, anything!

No problem if you burn it all up or fill 'er up. Alcohol will absorb water and if it sits in you half empty tank, it's gonna soak it up. Around 1% water content, the alcohol is going to precipitate in the tank. This nearly opaque mixture will not burn for spit. If you ever have sputtering out on the water on the plane, syphon a bit from the very bottom and see what it looks like.
