I have a 115hp Yamaha 4 stroke F115AETL 2009 engine still under warranty. In the last twelve months the authorised dealer has replaced the hydraulic seals on the trim rods twice due to fluid leakage and air in the unit as a result. The boat is moored on a marina for the summer season only. The dealers explanation is a build up of sandy
like debris on the rods, even though this is not evident from a visual inspection. The boat does dry out on the mud at low tide. He says there is no cure. The boat is used regularly. Is there anything else to be done and has anyone else had this problem routinely?
