I have had my boat in the shop twice for repairs this summer and they can never seem to fix it or find the problem. Mercury 115 4 stroke. the boat runs perfect for about 10 seconds when we first get going but then it turns to crap. Only revs up to 4000 rpm. Stalls out on occasion. Seems almost shaky when the throttles down and is significantly slower than it was last summer. The first time it was in the shop they serviced it and said the head gasket needed to be replaced. Did that and when we took it out for a fishing trip it didn't seem to have helped the problem at all. It's in the shop again and they said they really have no solid ideas on it. Said it might be bad fuel, (haven't switched fuels or anything so I doubt that) could be the fuel pump maybe. I'm up to a 1200 dollar labour bill now with nothing fixed on it and I really am not wanting to spend more money without it being fixed, again. Anybody have similar problems and hopefully solutions??
