Hi
I have recently bought a Lowrance x-4 sonar to my little boat.
Yesterday i tested it in the little lake where i live and have some questions.
When i was in about 5 meters of water and put down a plastic worm under the boat i saw the worm on the sonar screen when i had manual depth scale between 0-10 meters and 0-20 meters, if i had 0-6 meters i didn?t saw it at all.
The sensitivity setting was wery high, almost 100%, have also tried automatic.
If i have 100% sensitivity on manual depth scale of 0-20 meters i see much clutter, the screen is almost black, if i have the sensitivity on 70% i still see the bottom.
If i have the manual scale 0-6 meters i must have the sensitivity far over 90% to see the bottom and even on 100% sensitivity i don?t have any clutter on the screen, as i said, i did?nt see the plastic worm in this depth scale.
Is for example 95% sensitivity setting for manual depth scale 0-6 meters totally different than 95% on 0-20 meters?
I hope someone have answer to this
best regards //Henke
