Welcome to iboats Keith! Just a few things to check, there are some a won't think of and others will post them. Check both the motor oil and outdrive oil, before and after the test drive, watch the temp gauge, run the boat for atleast 30 minutes varying speed and turn it sharp and listen for u-joint chatter, check the bellows for cracks, ask the seller when he last changed bellows, gimbal bearing and impellar, if you can have a boat mechanic take the ride with you or atleast look at the boat before you buy it, check the floor for soft spots, make sure the transom is solid and feel down in the ski locker and make sure it isn't full of water.
