5.7 not running right

I have a 98 Ebbtide 21 ft bowrider. When taking off boat bogs big time and has gotten worse over the summer.Rebuilt the carb,new cap, rotor and new plugs and still not better. Still sounds like it running on 4 cylinders not all eight and idols very rough.Pulled plug wires while running and all cylinders on one side not firing and Keeps fouling plugs What should i try next? Plug wires? Fuel Pump? Any help would be great Thanks

Do you have spark on the 4 spark plugs that aren't firing?
Was any engine work done to the engine prior to this problem? Did the engine run ok for a while, then start missing and getting worse?

Yes getting spark to the 4 plugs. No motor work that i know of and motor looks very stock. Yes started missing and has gotten worse over the summer. Had trouble last summer trying to pull up novice skiers.

Compression good as well as vacume.Don't know what to try next.Ever heard of exhaust being clogged? Pulled 4 spark plugwires off with the engine running and no change in the way the engine ran. 3 of the four plugs not firing are on the same side Any ideas? Thanks
