Re: Motor overheating

Specifics help...
Of course it'll "heat up".
What temp is it peaking at, and is it verified by an IR. The gauges are NOT always accurate.

Re: Motor overheating

The motor just gets hot like steaming hot after running for about 5 min I changed the thermostat. When I first put the boat in the water it wasn't doing that then one day I started it toke it for a ride and it started overheating so I assumed something suddenly went wrong

Re: Motor overheating

your impeller probably failed. when was it last changed? I would also look at a complete assembly and not just the impeller.

Re: Motor overheating

Also look for any obstructions in the cooling loop.
