When I bought the boat I assumed these were no big deal but I'm nervous now about them now. There is a group of large cracks on both back corners of the boat, above the transom. And on one side of the boat. I'll include pictures, hopefully you can see them alright. I can feel the cracks but they don't seem to be deep and everything feels really solid behind them. I would do some core sampling but I'm not sure where to do it.

Also if they aren't serious is there anywhere to repair them? Thanks a lot.

The boat is a bit dirty and scratched up, but doesn't look too bad for 18 years old.

Are you sure its gel and not paint ( Looks like metallic paint in your pics ).

One of the pics looks like its been repaired before and the 'filler' is poppin.

I dont think they are Structural though.

Is the coating metallic ?

I don't really think it looks metallic. That would of had to been aftermarket right? Which pic looks like it's been filled?

#2 :) ..

Well..you need to die grind into the cracks to see whats up under the gel. If its loaded with putty then your probably gonna have to do some grinding and glassing.
