1996 5.7 Merc/Alpha 1 Gen 2 Upgrades

I have a 1996 5.7 Merc Thunderbolt/Alpa 1 Gen 2 drive. The boat is all stock including the 2 barrel carb. I would like to make a few upgrades to the engine and carb. Besides the 4 barrel what else would get me the most bang for the buck(i.e. cam, ext.)?

A 4bbl. Carb,+ Vortec Heads will give you All the Power your Outdrive can Handle..............<br /><br />Leave the Cam Alone,......And the Exhaust Costs just Too Much to get where it'll Actually Do Any Good............
