So I just got a boat, a 1989 21' dixie cuddy cabin and have been working on this boat nonstop for the last month. The other day I noticed that on the muffs the exhaust was steaming. So I did the usual, research all over this website and so far have changed a lot of things ranging from water pump to spark plugs. So I then pulled the risers off the other day to find that the cast iron is rusted straight through and as I pull it out of the coupler to the exhaust elbow the thing crumbles to chunks. I am now in the market for new risers and want to be 100% on the parts I am ordering and would also be graced if someone could chime in with what manual I should be using and the year of the engine. The engines serial number is F067730 and I know it is a 5.0l mercruiser LX. Any help would be appreciated! Oh and it appears the exhaust manifolds were changed a year ago so I am good with those. ( If it were my boat back then it would already have new risers on it.)
