stator,ecm,fuel pump all at once..

I have twin 2000 evinrude ficht 225s wich one recently fried the stator. So the mechanics put a new stator in just to find out that when the stator went it also fried the ECM AND FUEL PUMP.. my question is "is that normal of a bad stator then frying the ECM AND FUEL PUMP????

Not sure if a stator may fry an EMM, but for sure a shorted EMM might fry a stator.
Most likely the EMM might under certain conditions be able to fry the fuel pump as well.
