Bass Tracker with Tracker Pro 50 HP power problems

My Uncle has recently purchased a Bass Tracker with Tracker Pro 50 HP motor. Today, when coming back in from fishing, we were running at full power and on plane, when we got a horn sounding from under the dash board, and then all power went away. No electrical to the motor, ignition switch, accessories, no raise/lower of the motor, etc. The trolling motor is on a separate circuit and battery, and operated properly. I am new to boat/motor electrical problems, but I looked at all the fuses I could find, and none of them were bad. I did not have a way of testing the continuity on the wires themselves, but all connections were secure...we simply had zero power from the battery to the switches or the dashboard. I am also not familiar with the horn that sounded, so any advice on what that was, and or any pointers as to what I can do to get this boat back in running order would be extremely appreciated.

Welcome to iboats!

The horn is likely the overheat warning.

There separate electrical systems for the motor and accessories. There should be a fuse or circuit breaker within a foot of the positive battery terminal on the smaller of the two cables attached to the terminal. This is for the accessory fuse panel. There is also probably a fuse or breaker under the motor cowl for the motor circuit.

Many thanks...he did go through a couple of areas of shallow water and dense foliage so it is quite possible he sucked some up into the intake. I looked at the inline fuses, and they were ok but I did not open the engine cover or check the relay switch, so I will check those when I get back over to the boat, and let you know how those checkout.
