Can someone please help me figure out the name place
on my (I think......) 2008 model, Yamaha 4-stroke 40 h.p. second-hand engine.

What exactly do these codes mean?

YAMAHA F40TLRG
67C L 1042015 H

The engine was supplied in Ireland.
I would like to download an Owner's Manual
but there are a few to choose from & I'm confused.

Also I suspect I have a Solenoid problem - very erratic starting.
Turn the key and just NOTHING. A little later it starts fine.

Welcome to iboats!

Yamaha in the USA only sells to USA. There is advice on the web site to contact a Yamaha dealer in your country.

I am guessing by your post you are in the beautiful country of Ireland :) and you will have to contact a local dealer for manual assistance.

Someoone will jump in with the other problem of starting. I would suggest that you clean and tighten ALL of the electrical connections since they pick up corrosion very easy.

Good luck.

Just google "yamaha outboard codes", and you'll find a few pages that explain it.....some closer than others.
