I just recently rebuilt the fuel pump (square design) for this engine and while doing so I noticed a very small hole (approx .015 dia) in the inner housing near one of the plastic disc check valves. The hole is near the edge but definitely under the plastic disc check valve. I don't recall if this is an input or output check valve. My first inclinication is that this is some sort of pressure relief or by pass. Is this a design "hole" or a faulty housing? The pump seems to work O.K.
