I recently bought a 1973 Catalina Express 25. So far it has been wonderful! It's just that I don't know much about it..
First...what is the construction of the boat? The hull is solid glass with wood stringers? On the topsides, is there any wood core? Any areas I should keep my eyes on?
Engine. I have a model 283F (L)? The tag is a bit had to read. It has 307 stickers on the valve covers. Where can I find the specs for that engine? It has quite a few hours on it (over 900) but purrs beautifully. This winter I was thinking about repowering. Is there an exact replacement for that? Would I want to go to a higher powered SB Chevy?
I am just looking for any info I can find on my model and year.
