Hi all,
This forum has been so helpful in getting my 25hp back in action.
I replaced the powerhead gasket recently, as it was blown out.
When I took the powerhead off there was a copper water line attached to the exhaust manifold.
When I put the powerhead back on I am thinking that I did not align that tube correctly because when I tested the motor today I got steam from the pee hole and motor was hot. Before I replaced the powerhead gasket it was peeing and cooling fine. I removed the hose to make sure the pee hose was clear, check.
I also noticed that the 2 exhaust ports were pushing air, but not water.
Is there a way for me to fix the alignment of this water tube by lowering the lower unit?
Again, the motor cooled before I replaced the gasket, and I am thinking I misaligned the tube.
Any advice on this?
